Sycamore adds Chinese language classes

Source Cincinnati Enquirer

BLUE ASH - Some Sycamore junior high and high school students will be speaking Mandarin Chinese next school year.

The school district joins a growing list of schools that offer
Chinese, including Mason, Winton Woods, Cincinnati Public and Boone
County.

In addition, Sycamore seventh-graders will also be able
to take a full year of French, Japanese or Latin. Spanish is already
offered as a yearlong course. Seventh-graders now are limited to
semester introductory courses in French, Japanese and Spanish.

Introductory
courses, which will be eliminated next year for grades 7-8, were
designed for students who are unsure of their language preference.
